With a powder blue wedding art installation ceremony

Reception

Grand Ballroom Wedding Reception with two long mirrored banquet tables, powder blue chairs and flooring, sheer white curtains, and a mirrored ceiling panel.

Inside, the blue continued, and the room became a little strange in the best way. The tables were mirrored and set on polished chrome cones, with a mirrored panel running the length of the ceiling above them, so the entire reception took place twice, once at the tables and once above.

After a ceremony held inside a painting, dinner in a room that mirrors itself felt just right. She keeps all the silvery blue from being sweet. Powder blue reads soft on its own; Next to the chrome it cools down and ages a bit. Centerpieces remained spare, from a white anthurium to a tall glass vase. The anthurium is a familiar flower for the one-color room: it carries its graphic form across the floor in a way that roses and ranunculus can’t, which is why monochromatic designers keep reaching for it.

The bride in a sculptural off-the-shoulder ivory gown laughs with the groom in a black tuxedo, drinking straight from a coupe atop a seven-tier champagne tower.

The planners called Ivan unpredictable, and the champagne tower fixed it: he left the water and drank straight from the tower while Lyubov, who was calm, laughed with him. He brought art. He made sure that no one treated it like a museum.

The whole day came from a single offhand line about a room in a house they didn’t yet own. It was the size of a garden, in the center of which the two of them stood. Whenever there’s a real room, there’s a lot to live in. Congratulations, Lyubov and Ivan! Excellent from GWS.
