Jackson Grant was booked on Rio and Rachel’s wedding date. This is where the email chain ends. Their series continued. In the photographer’s own words, after “recognizing his devastation that he wasn’t really available,” the two “took it upon themselves not to let the e-mail chain stop,” and the result is that the Australian photographer landed in Singapore, in his words, “a brand new tourist,” in a humid, moving couple’s wedding session he couldn’t shoot.
Rachel is “a multi-talented force at the forefront of art, song and dance,” as Jackson put it, and rave street dance and DJ. Both are natives of Singapore, and the route they made for the day was their own regular itinerary, not a visitor’s list. The first stop was a hawker stall, and the first thing they did there was order their usual mee hoon kway, eaten in ivory satin gowns and pin-covered pinstripe suits while red and yellow ribbons flowed across the table.
Here’s a side by side for each frame Jackson Grant Weddingsand the tour ran, in his words, “by bus, by bike, to bitumen.” This is just your sign to book a session and catch the two of you!!
